Crafts majors start their first semester with visual art foundation courses in drawing, design, and art history. The second semester adds courses in the specialization areas of ceramics, fine metals, and textiles. After this semester, students enroll in a variety of crafts, studio art, art history, general education, and elective courses, to broaden their horizons and enrich their educational experience. Internships are available and highly recommended, forming a bridge between the classroom and the professional artist studio. The program culminates with the exhibition of work in the Senior Exhibition.
