The General–Criminology and Justice Studies concentration is for students who either choose not to pursue specializations within the major or wish to pursue an individualized program of study (through general electives), which does not align with the other concentrations.
Graduates of this program will develop:
- Oral and written communication skills
- Professional skills through experience
- Substantive knowledge in specific areas of the discipline, namely law, law enforcement, corrections, courts, and diversity
- An understanding of ethics
- An understanding of theoretical issues related to causes of crime and development of justice practices
- An understanding of research
- Critical thinking skills
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Admission decisions are based upon the following:
- cumulative grade point average,
- ACT and/or SAT scores,
- strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends.
Graduation Requirements:
- Minimum 120 total credit hours and 42 upper-division credit hours
- Minimum 2.000 cumulative GPA and 2.000 major GPA.

- Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores and Successful applicants typically provide a score in the 50th percentile.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all educational institutions students have attended.
