Graduates will have gained fundamental technical knowledge and also an understanding of the supervisory and management techniques used throughout industry. Technical competence is developed through various laboratory courses in the Department of Engineering Technology, Surveying, and Digital Media, while management skills and knowledge are supplemented through select courses from the ETSU
College of Business & Technology Department of Management and Marketing.
Industrial Technology graduates develop skills to help solve managerial, technical, and production problems and find numerous employment opportunities in a wide range of industrial settings. Prior to graduation, qualified students may take advantage of numerous local and/or regional Co-op (for ETSU credit) or part time/full time (non-credit) employment opportunities to earn money and gain experience.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.3 on a scale of 4.0
- If student do not have the minimum required GPA of 2.3 then minimum score of 17 is required in ACT or SAT equivalent
- Submitting SAT or ACT score is optional
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 500 in PBT; minimum score of 61 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 55
- Duolingo: minimum score of 85
- ACT: minimum score of 19 in English and Reading
- SAT: minimum score of 500 in evidence based reading
