The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures offers a French major and minor that combine small class sizes with a faculty of nationally and internationally active scholars—with whom you have the opportunity to do research and present—to give you a remarkably personalized educational experience.
You will have a wide range of study abroad opportunities not only in France, but also in Belgium, French Guiana, Madagascar, Morocco, Québec, Senegal, and Switzerland.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit original copies of transcripts or marksheets from each secondary school or institution attended
- Transcripts in foreign language should be translated into English
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; minimum 79 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum score of 100
- MELAB: minimum score of 80
- PTE: minimum score of 53
- SAT: Evidence based writing and writing score of minimum 500
- ACT: minimum score of 19 in English
