Our 10 language courses reflect different regions around the world. Under the guidance of our capable faculty, students also learn the literature, history and culture of other countries to prepare them for an increasingly multilingual and multicultural society.Teacher certification is available in three languages in conjunction with the College of Education. Knowing a second language can also help students acquire jobs in other professions, such as international business, government, law, science, nursing, social work and tourism.
Students who complete a major?in?a language with?teaching certification?will be in high demand for jobs in education. Learning a language can?also enhance opportunities in other professions including:

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a member of NACES
- Submit official test scores of SAT/ACT
- Applicants must meet the minimum standards: SAT (480 in Evidence based reading and writing; 500 in Maths), ACT (English: 18, Maths: 19, Reading: 20)
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 79 in iBT with 14 in reading; 550 in PBT with 48 in reading
- IELTS: minimum 6.5 with 5.5 in each sub-score
- Duolingo: minimum 115
- PTE: minimum 55
