From candidate messaging and strategy to the behind-the-scenes mechanics of the legislative process, the political system relies upon the expertise of individuals who have chosen to make their living in politics.We’ll prepare you for a career in government, journalism, law, the nonprofit sector or corporate world.
You’ll learn to analyze policy and think strategically by putting modern politics in a historical context.You’ll also develop an understanding of foreign governments. Our program emphasizes hands-on learning in the field, so you’ll discover the tangible impacts of politics in everyday life through internship opportunities with congressional campaigns, lobbying firms or through our Semester Abroad program in Washington, D.C.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit all secondary school, college and university transcripts
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Submit a personal statement of 250 words describing your most recent academic work and future goals
- Submit 2 letters of recommendation
- Submit SAT/ACT scores (optional)
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 85 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 105
