This Majors Abroad Program (MAP) leads students to a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies with its interdisciplinary focus on politics, history, international relations, as well as French language and culture, and its requirement of two semesters of study in France. The major provides in-depth study of France and its civilization. Studying at the American Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy, Arcadia’s affiliated program in Paris, provides a unique exposure to international affairs, and taking courses at the Alliance Française allows students to immerse themselves in French language and culture.
International business, art, fashion, design, education, and government are just a few of the directions French Studies graduates have guided their careers, secured by their understanding and appreciation of France, its people, and its place in the world.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit your secondary school transcript with a literal translation in English performed by a licensed translator and signed in ink.
- Official transcripts should include a list of subjects studied, a qualitative rating on a course-by-course basis, and an overall rating.
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit one letter of recommendation from your school counselor or academic teacher
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT (writing- 18, Reading- 20, listening- 19, speaking- 22)
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 with no band below 5.0
- Duolingo: minimum 100
- ITEP: minimum 4.5
