Students will have the option of specializing in one of two broad concentrations: thermal systems or mechanical systems.

No matter which field you chose, you will receive instruction and guidance in effective learning environments, using an intuitive curriculum. You will also be able to identify, formulate, and solve advanced problems, and gain the techniques, skills, and modern analytical and software tools necessary to thrive in mechanical engineering.

Competition in the international global market takes new tools and skills development to advance knowledge and excel in the workplace. Employers such as Sikorsky Aircraft, Pitney & Bowes, General Electric, Medtronic, ASML, and others, seek out graduates with up-to-date software and hardware skills as well as analytical modeling and simulation training. This is precisely the education you can expect to receive at Fairfield University's School of Engineering.
