Students have the opportunity to contribute as a member of the health care team in providing optimal patient care. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the examination of the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. This graduate nursing option is a cooperative program between Gannon University and UPMC Hamot. Students must attend full-time in this option.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science with nursing as a major from an accredited program
- Transcripts of all the previous education
- Academic transcripts must support: 1. Completion of intrductory statistics course and undergraduate nursing research course with minimum B grade in each 2. GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate Maths and Science 3. GPA of 3.0 for last 60 hours of undergraduate course
- Provide evidence of nursing practice license in USA
- GRE scores
- Minimum 2 years of full time critical care experience
- Four letters of recommendation from former professors and employer who can comment on the applicant’s ability
- Resume
English Langauge Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in IBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- PTE: minimum 53
- Duolingo: minimum 110
