The majority of this program?s curriculum is taught online, with a 10-week summer residency and one additional week in the fall on campus. Founded on evidence- based practice, the O&M coursework is sequentially designed and integrated to ensure that a student?s necessary skills are developed prior to entry into fieldwork off-campus.
Coursework prepares students to work effectively with individuals who have low vision, as well as those who are blind, and to work across generations.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Applicant must have completed 18 semester credits in following: anatomy and physiology, life science or biology, chemistry, physics, statistics and psychology
- Applicants must have a cumulative undegraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Applicants should submit two letters of recommendation with one letter from a person of authority who knows about your work ethics and professionalism and another from a professor or supervisor
- Submit GRE score results
- Applicants must have 40 hours of clinical observation experience
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
