Beautiful campus, close to home. I took a college tour during high school on the campus and fell in love. The campus was big enough to walk around, but not too big to where I would need to drive everywhere.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum that is provided for the criminology program is pretty rigorous. It contains a lot of case law and a lot of dedication. The jobs in the field don't pay much, so you need passion. I have known I wanted to go into this field since I was little.
Exams
I took the SAT and the ACT during high school, and I scored well enough the first time to get me into three schools.
Placement
Like I mentioned earlier, the pay for jobs and careers in this field is not much, so you need to have lots of dedication and passion for what you want to do. There is going to always be a need for people to complete jobs in this field, and this program will help with that.
Internship
Yes, but I never participated in one. My grades have always been good, better than good, so I never thought I needed to do an internship. Now that I am about to graduate, I wish I would have taken the opportunity to complete one.
Events
I received lots of awards during my college career because of my grades. I am about to graduate with honors and with a 3.9 GPA. With all the hard work of attaining that, comes the celebration of the awards and organizations I gained admittance to.
Fees
Tuition for UWG costs about $8,000 a semester and that includes all charges, such as housing, food, athletics, and transportation.
Scholarship
I received the HOPE scholarship all four years of college, and in addition to that, I also received subsidized and unsubsidized loans to help with the expenses.
Examination Structure
The exams at UWG were structured as normal classroom tests. Students used a scantron to take the test, and the teachers grade them and put your scores online. Some tests you sit in class for, others you take online.
Faculty
I think the faculty at my school is very dedicated. Besides one or two, I have never had a set of teachers that are so passionate about their students and their success.
Hostel
For all four years of school, I stayed in on-campus housing. During my first year, I stayed in a single room with another person. The following three years I spent in an apartment with three different girls.
