The northeastern university has outstanding resources for academic exploration, it has a well-balanced curriculum with respect to IT and management courses. This flexibility is perfectly a line with my interests. Plus it has a fantastic Coop program which will allow me to work for 4-9 months after 1 year of study.
Course Curriculum
The university focuses on industrial practical knowledge more than theory. Most of the professors are working professionals and there are regular talks and seminars with experts from different fields. The assignments are also very involving and informative and are very up-to-date.
Exams
My scores: GRE 160 Quant and 149 verbal 3.0 writing, IELTS 7.0 both taken in jan 2020
Placement
Haven't been to any university placements but the coop offered by the university places 80% of the students for internships and most of the pay per internship is very good.
Events
The infrastructure is top notch and the library is the best place around the campus build with 4 floors, and each floor has a different level of silence requirements. The university has events on regular bases and it also has a baseball stadium. Plus the university has a dedicated building for sports with includes a big gym
Scholarship
Yes, I was offered a scholarship course of 4 credits, 1 credits costs $1664
Faculty
The faculty ratio depends on the courses. Some courses which cater to 2 or more streams have more students in one class and the stream-specific courses have 3-4 sections with 15-25 students in one class.
Hostel
I live in an off-campus accommodation with 4 other people. Boston is an expensive place. I pay around $520 for rent and other utilities.
