Augustana College welcomes applications on a rolling basis for its various undergraduate courses in liberal arts and pre-professional degrees. The college exhibits a moderately competitive admission policy with an acceptance rate of about 57%. The college enrolls over 2500 students pursuing undergraduate programs.

International students can choose from a wide variety of programs at Augustana College across various disciplines. Prospective students can apply online through either of the two application portals, the Augustana application portal or common application portal. The college offers admission to degree programs during the spring and fall semesters. However, international students are encouraged to apply for the fall term due to the maximum number of available seats in this session. Admission to non-degree courses is offered during the summer and January term. They can be applied for at a separate college portal and follow separate deadlines.

Admissions are based on overall academic strength as well as the financial ability to meet the cost of an Augustana education. The college is test optional and accepts SAT or ACT scores as an aditional supporting document.

International students are eligible for both merit-based scholarships and need-based financial aid. Merit-based scholarships do not require any additional application. However, to apply for need-based financial aid Augustana Certificate of Finance should be submitted.

Augustana College Admission Deadlines

International students are required to apply to the universities in USA along with all required documents prior to the deadlines to be considered for admission. While the applications are processed on a rolling basis, Augustana College offers multiple deadlines for its applicants for thorough consideration and timely admission.

Early deadlines are offered to students who are sure to enroll in the college if they are accepted. Students applying for early deadlines must also schedule an interview with the college. They do not apply for international students.

International Students Admission

Apart from the admission requirements, international students are required to meet a few additional requirements to be eligible for admission. Original transcripts should be mailed to the admission office after receiving the l-20 form by the selected candidates. Applicants must also send their the original transcripts along with their translations (if not in English) to Augustana College.

Admissions at Augustana College are granted based on the overall profile and application of the student. International students must exhibit proficiency in English language for admission in Augustana College. Proficiency test scores including TOEFL or IELTS should be sent directly from the testing centers to the university. Minimum required scores for some of the common proficiency tests are as follows

Student Visa Requirements

International students can apply for a visa to study in USA after receiving the acceptance letter from the college around 120 days prior to the start date of the semester. The visa application details are provided below:

Application process:

After the approval of the application, an l-20 form is issued by the university to the students.
Students are required to register at SEVIS and pay the SEVIS L-901 fee.
Students can then apply for non-immigration visa online and complete DS-160 form
After completing their application, students are required to schedule an interview with the US embassy or consulate.
