You will develop the skills to join a team of specialists, such as radiation oncologists, physicists and dosimetrists, to deliver appropriate radiation to cancer patients. As a radiation therapy technology major, you will learn how to:

• Prepare the patient and equipment for the delivery of the radiation;
• Keep accurate records of the treatment of each patient;
• Observe radiation safety and protection procedures;
• Assist with treatment & computer planning, which includes the exact location of the tumor and the optimal technique for treatment
• Assist in the computer planning of the specific treatment plan
