Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Psychology] From State University of New York Plattsburgh

The B.A. or B.S. in Psychology requires 40 academic credits of course work in psychology, in addition to general education and elective courses. The psychology curriculum includes:

• An introductory psychology course accompanied by a lab, in which small groups of students conduct experiments and demonstrations of classic psychology phenomena.
• Courses in experimental design and statistics, with an emphasis on conducting and evaluating research and clearly communicating experimental findings.
• Courses that introduce the central research findings and theories in the core areas of psychology, including human development, cognitive psychology, biopsychology, personality, social psychology, and history of psychology.
