State University of New York Oswego (SUNY Oswego) founded in 1861 is a premiere business college which provides admissions to over 120 undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate and post-masters courses in departments such as accounting, arts administration, finance, general management, real estate, among others. In the fall of 2018, this renowned institute of the US Education System witnessed an enrollment of 6920 undergraduates and 910 graduate students.

The university offered letters of place to its applicants at an acceptance rate of nearly 54%. Out of this total number, about 21% had accepted the admission offer. A GPA of 3.5 or more (mostly combination of grades A and B) is needed when applying for admission at the institute which reflects strong competition at the organization.

Admission Deadlines

  • The institute provides a plethora of courses for international students at undergraduate and graduate level. Since applications are accepted on a rolling basis, no particular deadlines are allotted for the admission process;

Visa Process for International Students

International applicants can start applying for an international visa to study in the USA once the enrolment deposit has been confirmed. The following process must be followed in order to obtain a valid visa to the USA :

  1. Upon payment of the enrolment deposit, you will be provided with the I-20 or DS-2019 form;
  2. After receiving the form, the candidate can start applying for an F-1 or J-1 visa;
  3. The candidate must then pay the SEVIS I-901 fees ;
  4. After the payment of the SEVIS fee, the candidate can then schedule a visa interview at the nearest US embassy of their home country.

Please note that the student must arrive in the US not prior to 30 days of the commencement of their classes.

  • Bank statements demonstrating liquidated funds for the same;
