The History Major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
- The History degree program provides students with an overview as well as an in-depth study of history, examining all aspects of the human experience. The study of history is informed by the social sciences and by developments in the arts and in literature.
- The History major is intentionally interdisciplinary, especially with the Education major, to allow students to follow their passions while still receiving a solid foundation rooted in the Humanities.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- High School transcript (including 1st marking period senior year grades)
- Personal statement or essay on a topic of own choice (250 word minimum)
- 1 letter or form of recommendation (must be from an academic teacher or counselor)
- SAT/ACT scores (optional) Lasell University has a Test-Optional Policy. If the applicants believe on their standardized tests support their candidacy, Applicants are encouraged to submit their scores (CEEB code: 3481).
Indian Eligibility:
In addition to the items listed in the Completed Application Checklist, International students must also submit:
- Official results of the TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson or Duolingo English Test
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (if he is a Transfer International student)
