Visa Process
It is essential for international students to maintain their visa status if studying in US universities. Students in F-1 status must take care of the following points:-
- Have a valid, unexpired passport.
- Secure a valid I-20 form and submit it for timely extensions.
- It is compulsory for international students to have a valid proof of medical insurance.
- International Students are required to be enrolled in 12 undergraduate units (3 courses).
- As per United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), F-1 students need to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee. From 24th June, 2013 onwards, the fee will be increased from $200 to $350.
