As the largest 4-year college in the SUNY system, SUNY Buffalo educates nearly 8,000 undergraduate and 1000 graduate students each year. With the fall intake of 8,658 students in total, the current acceptance rate is 68%.

The college offers 79 undergraduate programs which include 11 majors and many other minor and certificate courses. There are 64 graduate programs as well. A few unique graduate courses are- art conservation, adult education, creative studies, applied economics, and others.

SUNY Buffalo Admissions Deadlines

  • UG Admission Deadline-

SUNY Buffalo has a rolling admission policy. So, students can apply at any time during the year. However, they are recommended to apply as early as possible at the start of an academic session. Undergraduate students should track the opening date of the Common Application portal. After the reviewing of all applications, the institute declares the first-round of Fall decisions in mid-December for the first-year students and in mid-January for transfer candidates.

Visa Application for International Students

The International students planning to study at the university must apply for a student visa to study in the USA once the application letter has been issued to them. After the official acceptance of a student to a program, the office of International Student and Scholar Services contact the student regarding the visa (Form I-20 A/B) process. Students should carefully go through the following process.

  • A valid passport.
  • Deposit of visa application fee. SEVIS fee for the F1 visa is 350 USD.
