With the increasing rise of the new Omicron variant cases in the US, some of the colleges and universities have started to mandate booster shots for their students. With the new found information that the triple shots are proving to be effective in reducing the strength of the Coronavirus, many US Colleges are making it mandatory for the students.
The universities to make the double vaccination shots mandatory for students require them to show the full vaccination certificate before allowing them on the campus. The talk of delisting the non-vaccinated students after a prescribed deadline is also there. Some of the top 25 universities in this list are Harvard, MIT, Cornell and Stanford.

There are many US universities that make triple shots mandatory before allowing them on campus. Some of these universities include Brown University, Columbia University, Georgetown University, New York University, University of Michigan, University of Oregon, Harvard University, MIT, Yale University, etc.
On the other hand, there are universities that are trying to create awareness programmes and prizes to boost the students’ mental health and make them more cautious of their surroundings. Some of the universities to embark upon such projects are the University of Connecticut, Montana State University, etc.
The booster shots are being recommended by these universities to minimise the health hazards and maximise the students’ physical, mental and academic well being. In addition to this, there are many universities such as the University of California, to continue the classes without much disruption regarding this matter.
In addition to the universities, the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has also recommended the students to get their booster shots. The vaccines are free of cost for all in the US, purposefully ignoring the insurance scenario against the backdrop of COVID 19. The international students are required to have a full vaccination before entering the country.
