I choose this course as I like the trade of Electrical Engineering. the faculty-student ratio is good and the students get their own mentors which is a very good thing. the faculty members are highly qualified in their respective fields and their teaching skills are very good. the exams are quite difficult to pass but if you study well then it will be okay the semester occurs every 6months and in between sets there are 2mid terms each sem.

Many of teachers had Phd in their respective subjects fron renowed institutes if india as well as outside the country. in one semester there are 3 exam and they are very standard exams

I chose this course because there are many jobs available in this course. The facilities are also ok. They help us in many ways. Their teaching methods can be improved. But it is quite ok. After every 1 and half months there is sem of 30 marks and it is quite difficult to pass.

In IEM all the facilities are hardworking and caring for the students. There are at least 4-5 faculty for each subject and all of them are experts in their fields. The faculty are knowledgeable and helpful. The college conducts 2 mid-semester exams which prepare the students for the final exams and help build the concepts. There are also lab exams in the curriculum.

It also teaches alot about the engineering field and management of time. The faculty-to-student ratio in our college is 5:100. The faculty is highly qualified. They are well-experienced teachers who have post-graduated(M.TECH) from government engineering colleges such as NIT and IITs.They teach in a very good manner by describing every topic by board and through powerpoint presentations. The term exams are held every 2 months and semester exams are after every 6 months the question difficulty level in term exams is standard and we can easily pass it by learning the notes and attending classes.

What is fee structure of CSE branch in UEM Kolkata?
The overall fee structure in UEM Kolkata keeps changing. But, there are no major modifications to it over the last few years.
- For the 2016-20 batches, the fee per semester was Rs. 60,000. Therefore, the total fee would be Rs. 1.2 Lakhs annual fees.
- During admission, you will need to pay an additional admission fee of Rs. 12,000. So, the first-semester fee is Rs. 72,000 combined together, which the students need to pay before their admission to the institute.
- There is an examination fee of Rs. 1000, which needs to be paid before semester exams. For the first semester, the exam fee is Rs. 1400.
- UEM organizes several technical and professional workshops, and almost all of them are paid. The fee for such workshops varies from Rs. 500-1500, depending on the type and duration of the workshop. But, these are entirely optional. The management will not force you to participate.
- Previously, the 2015-19 batches had a semester fee of Rs. 37,000, and so Rs. 74,000 annually. All other fees, i.e.-exam fees, workshop fees, etc, were the same for those batches too.
