What's New in JISU?
JIS University BTech admissions are based on WBJEE Score/ JEE Main Score. The application process for WBJEE has commenced on December 28, 2023. The last date for the WBJEE registration 2024 is on January 31, 2024. Candidates can register for the WBJEE 2024 at wbjeeb.nic.in. WBJEE Exam Date 2024 is April 28, 2024.
JIS University is located in Agarpara, Kolkata. JIS University offers an array of undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated programs in different fileds like Engineering, Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Management, Education and Hotel & Hospitality Administration. The university also offers Diploma and PhD programs at the above-mentioned disciplines.

- The selection to courses is based upon the online JIS University Entrance Exam.
- The exam is conducted either at University campus or can be given by candidates while sitting at their homes.
- The university conducts the exam every Thursday (2 pm to 4 pm) and Saturday (11 am to 1 pm).

How to Apply for JIS University?
Candidates need to fill an online application by following a sequence of steps as mentioned below:
- Go to the official website of JIS University.
- Select Apply Now option under Admission tab.
- Register by providing name, mobile number, and email address.
- Upon successful registration, proceed to fill the application form using application number and password.
- After filling the form, candidates need to visit the University campus for Document verification and to appear in online entrance exam.
NOTE – Candidates applying from India need to choose General option for the respective course they wish to apply for while candidates from outside India need to select International option.
Documents Required
Applicants need to carry the original and Photostat copies (self attested) of the following documents from Standard X Board exam upto Highest Qualifying Exam passed (Standard XII Board exam/ Graduation /Post Graduation) for the purpose of document verification:
- Marksheet
- Admit Card (indicating the Board Registration Number)
- Pass Certificate
- Aadhar Card (for Id Proof)
- 5 passport size photographs
- Migration Certificate
JIS University Scholarship 2023
JIS University, under its JISUMS scheme, offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students of society. The scholarship amount, extending up to 100% on tuition fees of the total course fees, is awarded on the basis of the assessment of prospective candidates by the JISUMS Committee. The University awards its scholarship to the students who wish to pursue their studies in various courses at JIS University. JIS University offers scholarship (JISUMS) to the candidates fulfilling any criterion listed below:
- Entrance Examination: The candidate should have to score a good percentile in the JIS University Entrance test for admission (JET 2021).
- Previous Qualification: The candidate with consistent performance in all previous qualifying examinations.
- Other criteria:
- If the candidate’s parents have worked in the Indian Defense Services at any point in time.
- If the candidate is a single girl child.
- If the candidate is a child of a Single mother.
- If the candidate is a child of a JIS Group Employee.
- If the candidate is from an orphanage NGO.
