BML B.Tech Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- The applicants appearing in class 12th board exams from Andra Pradesh state board, Telangana State Board, Tamil Nadu State Board and Kerala State Board need to meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for B.Tech course.
- Candidates must have a minimum aggregate score of 70% in the four subjects, i.e., Physics, Mathematics, English and one more subjects from chemistry, Biology and technical vocational subjects.
- Candidates must have appeared in JEE(main) in the year of admission and score a minimum 60 percentile.
- Candidates with Valid SAT scores can also apply. The DI Code for SAT applicants is - 7534.
- Candidates with JEE Main percentile less than 60 but more than 50 are also eligible if they have at least 80% marks as aggregate of four subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics, English and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology, and Technical Vocational subjects.
- The Candidate must be a citizen of India and must have passed 10+2.
- Applicants from Other Indian educational boards recognized by the Association of Indian Universities like CBSE, CISCE and State Boards recognized by AIU need to meet the following criteria for admission in B.Tech course.
- Candidates must have a minimum aggregate score of 6o percent in the four subjects that are Physics, Mathematics, English and one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biology and technical vocational Subject.
- The Candidate must have a Valid SAT score. The DI code for SAT applicants is 7534
- The Candidate must have appeared in JEE (Main) with a valid score. The minimum percentile required is 60 in JEE mains.
- Students who have less than 60 percentile in JEE main and more than 50 percentile with 70% aggregate marks in the subjects Physics, Mathematics, English and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology and technical vocational subject are eligible to apply for the course.
- The Candidates must be citizens of India and must have passed in 10+2 examination from the above mentioned boards.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) students who want to apply for the course are required to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII and have a valid score of JEE Main/ SAT.
- The Candidates from Cambridge/IGCSE board are required to have 3 A-levels, studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematic in Class 12th level and have a valid score of JEE Main/ SAT.
- Candidates who have taken the SAT or ACT exams in addition to JEE, need to submit their official score reports to enhance their chances of selection.
- Candidates who are Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Residential Indians (NRIs)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e., Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and must submit their JEE Main/ SAT score to be eligible for applying for this course.
- Students who have completed a 3-year Diploma from a recognised Polytechnic can also apply for admission to the second year of the B.Tech programme and the requirement for such students is to have a minimum of 60% or equivalent in their Diploma and not have any backlogs.
BML B.Tech Admission Guidelines:
The admission to B.Tech programs shall be conducted through two modes. The candidates are required to only fill the application form once and can seek admission through any mode provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Details of the same are given below:
Admissions through JEE- Mains:
- The first mode is based on JEE Main score for the total available seats in the B.tech program which is 75%. The Selection will be based on Merit and the list of students qualifying will be available on the website. In the final round of counselling if any seat is vacant it will be filled through Mode 2 and vice-versa.

Admissions through BMU-SAT:
- The second mode is based on the marks achieved by students in 10+2 examination and BMU-SAT exams which will fill 25% of the total available seats. The students to be eligible for this mode of admission must have appeared in BMU exams irrespective of being appeared in JEE mains or not. The Students must have scored aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematic and one subject out of Chemistry, Biology or Technical Vocational subjects. The weightage of the 10+2 marks scored is 75% and the weightage of marks scored in BM is 25% which will be considered. The students are then selected on the basis of Merit and the qualifying list of students is shared on the website.
- The first five toppers of the recognized Boards of India in the examinations held in 2023 will be given direct admission to the first year of UG program with the condition that they must have appeared in JEE (Main). The entrance test score of such students shall not be required for admission as a criterion and the students will be allocated the branch of their choice. The candidates are required to furnish proof of being toppers from their respective boards. The tuition fee of the students can be waived off provided they maintain a minimum CGPA of 8.50 in subsequent semesters of the UG program. The students eligible are only toppers having first five positions among science streams (Non-Medical) at 10+2 of a respective board.
- The Tech migration admission policy for students who want to migrate to BMU B.Tech program must have cleared first year of B.tech at any institution without any backlogs and must have an aggregate score of 60%. The PCM Aggregate score in 10+2 final exams should be above 60%. Individual scores in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics should be 65% and English scores should be more than 70%. The students will be shortlisted based on personal interview and BMU will reserve the right for final selection of students.
- Students who have completed a 3-year Diploma from a recognised Polytechnic can also apply for admission to the second year of the B.Tech programme and the requirement for such students is to have a minimum of 60% or equivalent in their Diploma and not have any backlogs.

Throughout the duration of the programme the students get practical experience through the Practical School internship which provides the invaluable knowledge to students by applying the interdisciplinary and integrated learning to real-world problems. This initiative enables students to undergo meaningful work experience over a period of four years in the B.Tech program. The students will spend around 28 weeks, or 22% of their total contact hours in interning with a cross-section of industry which will help them gain an insight into the real-world working culture. Practice School internships are courses with credit units and therefore the grade so earned are going to be included within the cumulative GPA.
