People’s University was established in 2011 and is situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. People's University has ten Constituent Institutes. The various constituent colleges of the University are approved by Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, AICTE, Madhya Pradesh Paramedical Council and Pharmacy Council of India.
People’s University has Medical/Dental Hospital which provides free Medical/Dental facilities to students and employees of University, and various other facilities in the campus itself like Bank and ATM, gymnasium, post office, etc.
The University invites Applications for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme in various specializations. The Programme is available only in full time mode. The admission to the programme will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by the University. Check People’s University Admission
The applications forms for the programme must be filled in the offline mode (by hand) and submitted to the University. The reservation criteria followed for admission will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

People’s University Eligibility Criteria
The University offers the following specializations under the Ph.D. Programme:
- Dentistry
- Management
- Engineering
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
- Nursing
- Science
Eligibility: You should fulfill any of the following criteria:
- You should have a Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in total for general category and 50% marks in case of reserved category.
- You must have passed Master’s Degree by Research of this University or of any other University recognized by this University as equivalent thereto.
- You must have passed M.Phil. Degree examination of this University or of any other University recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
- You should be a teacher having full time teaching experience of at least two years in Degree College or five years in Junior College.
- You should be a graduate of this or any other recognized University and working in National Laboratories/Institutes/Government/ Private Organization, nominated/sponsored by the respective employer.
Note: If you have passed your qualifying degree examination through supplementary or compartment and repeat attempts, then also you are eligible provided you submit the proof of passed the qualifying exam with the above mentioned minimum requirement of marks.
Age: There is no age limit.
How to Apply?
You have to fill the form in the Offline mode. You should use one Application Form for admission to one subject. In case you wish to apply for more than one subject, you must send the Application Form and Fee separately for each.
You can access the Application Form through either of the following three ways:
- By hand from the University by paying prescribed fee
- By post by submitting a written application along with the prescribed fee in advance
- Online by downloading it from the University website and taking a print out of the Form
You must fill in the personal and educational details. You must use only a Black Ball Point pen and fill the Form in Capital Letters only.
You should affix a recent passport size photograph in the space provided, and select the course for which you are applying. Do not staple or clip the photograph.
Application Fee: You should pay the Application fee of Rs. 2500 by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, People's University Bhopal, payable at Bhopal.
Enclosures: You must enclose the following along with the Application Form:
- High School Certificate (attested copy)
- Post Graduate Marksheet (attested copy)
- Demand Draft (your details at the back)

People’s University Admission Process
You will be selected on the basis of Entrance Test.
The Entrance Test shall comprise of one paper having multiple choice type questions. The questions will be of multiple choice type and a total of 100 in number. Each question will be of one mark each, covering all the subjects of Post Graduate level of the concerned subject along-with general studies and mental aptitude. The exam will be for a duration of two hours.
Exceptions: If you have qualified National Level Tests such and NET/GATE etc. and State Level Test such as MPSLET accredited by the UGC or if you are a teacher fellowship holders through an Entrance Test, you shall be exempted from writing the entrance test of Ph.D.
