The candidate must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to get admitted into the BBA course:

• The applicant must be an Indian National.
• The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of West Bengal Council/ I.S.C. Examination/ C.B.S.E. Examination/ Any other equivalent Examination. The candidate must have had English as one of the subjects in his/ her Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
• The candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the examination.
• Applicants from the following streams are considered eligible for applying to the BBA course.
  • Science
  • Arts
  • Commerce
• Graduates from the above-mentioned streams are also eligible to apply. However, the number of seats is very limited for these graduates.

The candidate opting for BBA admission at Burdwan University can obtain the application form either through online mode and offline mode. The admission to the course is only on a merit basis.

Burdwan University BBA Course Details 

This undergraduate management course has a duration of 3 years and is available only in Full-time mode. This course is offered under the following specializations namely Business Administration and Tourism & Hospitality. 

• The course is divided into 6 semesters and is designed to educate the students to communicate effectively and to inculcate decision making, leadership, and entrepreneurship skills in students.
• Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality & Tourism (BBA T&H) is designed to train the students in various aspects of the hospitality industry such as operations, front office, food and beverages, accounting, engineering, public relations, housekeeping, etc.

Burdwan University BBA Syllabus

The course will have six semesters with each semester having a total of 90 working days. The Semester wise syllabus is tabulated below.

During the sixth semester, a student has to choose a single specialization among the following electives. Each specialization will have 3 subjects.

• Elective - A: Accounting and Finance (AF)
• Elective - B: Sales and Marketing Management (SSM)
• Elective - C: Human Resources Management (HRM)
• Elective - D: Systems Management (SM)

• There will be a total of 450 teaching hours in each semester.
• Every paper in the BBA course will have a total of 100 marks.
• The total in all the 6 semesters will be 2200.

• All theoretical papers will have a total of 20 marks reserved for internal assessment out of which 10 marks for Presentations and 10 marks for Class tests & Viva’s voice.
• A student has to submit a report on a project study for which a total of 100 marks will be allocated.
