RBU Kolkata MA: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

RBU MA admission 2023 are going to commence soon. Admission to the program will be granted on the basis of marks securedin the qualifying examination. Rabindra Bharati University offers full-time Master of Arts (MA) programs across 22 specializations under Arts, Fine Arts, and Visual Arts for a duration of 2 years. The specializations include English, Bengali, Economics, Education, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Hindi, Sociology, ENVS, Geography, HR and HD, Sangeet, Vocal Music, Dance, Instrumental Music, Mass and Communication Geography, Musicology and Museology and Environmental Studies. The minimum eligibility to apply for RBU MA is a BA degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University. • Candidates seeking MA admission must have passed BA (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) in the allied/concerned subject from any UGC recognized university
• For admission to the courses under the Arts department, candidates must have obtained 55% marks

RBU MA Course Details

All the departments of fine and visual arts focus on the teaching programs so that the students can excel in the relevant subject. In the branch of English, efforts are taken to improve knowledge about the literature through communication, in drama students are well explained and taught about acting, in music students are encouraged to learn Carnatic and Hindustani Music and so on. All the departments ensure that the students become real professionals in their branches.

The course extends for four semesters with six months in each. Semester examinations are held four times at the end of each semester.

Every course is awarded a total of 50 marks. Students ought to score a minimum of 40% marks to secure a degree.
