Established in 1860, Harish Chandra Post Graduation College, Varanasi often abbreviated to HCPGC was started by a non- profit organization to impart education to locals. Initially starting with a high school, it now has courses up to post-graduation. The college is affiliated to M.G Kashi Vidyapeeth Varanasi. It provides education in 5 domains namely, Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, and Law at under graduation and numerous specializations at postgraduation. Harish Chandra PG College Admission 2024
The college conducts three entrance exams, one for the undergraduate level, one for B.Ed, and one for the postgraduate level. The admission is based on the merit list that is created on the entrance exam scores.
How to Apply?
- The student must appear in the entrance test and secure a considerable score. The cutoff is declared at the time of admissions depending upon the average scores.
- After the exam, proceed to fill the admission form of the college.
- Submit all necessary documents.
- After the submission of the form and the documents, one can wait for the display of the merit list.
- Further, if your name appears in the merit list you can pay the fee and reserve your seat.
Harish Chandra PG College Varanasi Placement 2023
The college starts to call the students for campus interviews from various companies. The majority of jobs being offered are in the field of customer service representatives. Approximately 10 to 15% of students get placement each year. The highest package given until now has been INR 1.5 lakhs per month.
The college also arranges summer internships. Some of the companies that take the students for summer internships are Coca Cola, Geodis, Technoforte.

- Computer labs: The College also has a completely equipped computer lab with 15 computers and all the techno-gadgets to provide its students with maximum accessibility to the world virtually.
- NCC: The college has an NCC Certificate course for the students to enroll in alongside the course to develop discipline.
- NSS: The college has an NSS Certificate course for the students to enroll in alongside the course to develop social work skills.
- Science laboratories: The college has Chemistry and Physics labs for hands-on practice and to increase practical based knowledge along with theoretical one.
