Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Regular Entry :

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 in Science from the recognized board of Education.

Lateral Entry:

A candidate must have passed the three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education from an AICTE approved institution in the appropriate branch of engineering/technology in aggregate of all semesters. OR

A candidate must have passed the three years B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university and should have passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

Entrance Exam:

Candidates must qualify one of the following entrance test- JEE/ UKSEE

UTU B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

For admission to B.Tech. course, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics.
In the case of Lateral Entry, a student must have completed three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education OR Completed three years B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 10+2 with Mathematics.

UTU B.Tech. Selection Criteria

All seats of B.Tech. are filled as per the norms of the State Government and on the basis of merit in JEE.
Admission to B.Tech, 2nd Year is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the month of April-June.
A merit list will be prepared based on marks and scores. Qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling.
