Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) Admission 2024: Courses, Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility

At the UG level, the university offers B.Tech. program in seventeen specializations as follows:

UTU B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• For admission to B.Tech. course, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics.
• In the case of Lateral Entry, a student must have completed three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education OR Completed three years B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 10+2 with Mathematics.

UTU B.Tech. Selection Criteria

• All seats of B.Tech. are filled as per the norms of the State Government and on the basis of merit in JEE.
• Admission to B.Tech, 2nd Year is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the month of April-June.
• A merit list will be prepared based on marks and scores. Qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling.

At the UG level, the University offers professional B.Pharma. program.

UTU B.Pharma. Eligibility Criteria

• 10+2 with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology / Mathematics.
• For Lateral Entry to the course, pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Pharmacy-Allopathy) or equivalent.

UTU B.Pharma. Selection Criteria

Admission to B.Pharma. is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the month of April-June.

The institute also offers a B.Arch. program which is of five years duration.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Arch. program, institute accepts 10+2 with mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Selection Criteria

A merit list will be prepared based on marks and scores. Qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling.

Admission to Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology is also offered to candidates.

UTU BHMCT Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board.
• Candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• The aggregate will be calculated as the aggregate of best of four subjects including one language and compulsory subject
• Moreover, he/she must have passed English; either core or functional, in any case as a subject.

UTU BHMCT Selection Criteria

Admission to BHMCT, is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the month of April-June, along with the following minimum eligibility criteria.

Admission to BCA program is also offered at the University which is of 3 years in duration.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board.

Selection Criteria

Admission to BCA is based on the merit in qualifying exam.

BBA program is offered at the University for the duration of 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board.

Selection Criteria

Admission to BBA is based on the merit in qualifying exam followed by an interview.

Admission to LL.B. and integrated B.A. LL.B. or BBA LL.B. programs is also provided to the students.

UTU LL.B., B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board to be eligible for admission to integrated B.A. LL.B. or BBA LL.B. program.
• For admission to three year LL.B. program, candidate has to clear bachelors course in any specialization.

Selection Criteria

Admission to LL.B., B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B. is based on the merit in qualifying exam.

Admission to all other bachelor program is offered by the University based on merit in qualifying exams. B.Sc. program is offered in following four specializations:

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board to be eligible for admission to the B.Sc., Bachelor of Nursing, B.P.Ed., or BJMC program.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the Bachelor courses is based on the merit in qualifying exam.

Uttarakhand Technical University offers professional post graduate course in M.Tech in sixteen specializations as follows:

UTU M.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• For admission to M.Tech course, General/OBC candidates must score atleast 60% marks in B.Tech or equivalent
• Whereas, relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates is there.

UTU M.Tech Selection Criteria

• Candidates having 60% marks and valid qualified GATE score for General/OBC candidates and 55% of marks and valid qualified GATE score SC/ST candidates will be given preference in admission.
• Candidates having valid and qualified GATE score are not require to appear in University entrance examination.
• During counselling first few seats will be filled by the qualified GATE candidates and then remaining seats will be filled according to the merit of University Entrance Examination (UKSEE).

How to apply for M.Tech program?

• For the M.Tech courses, the candidates need to apply through the official website of University.
• For GATE or UKSEE registration, candidates need to fill up the form online at the official website.
• Candidates will have to appear in counselling, after the release of Merit list.

At postgraduate level, the institute also offers M.Pharma. course of the 2 years of duration in the following seven specialization:

UTU M.Pharma. Eligibility Criteria

• For admission to M.Pharma applicant must score 55% marks in B. Pharm. or equivalent from PCI approved Institute.
• Whereas, SC/ST candidates has the relaxation of 5% to be eligible for admission to the course.

UTU M.Pharma. Selection Criteria

• Candidates having 55% marks and valid qualified GPAT score for General/OBC candidates and 50% of marks and valid qualified GPAT score SC/ST candidates will be given preference in admission.
• Candidates having valid and qualified GPAT score are not required to appear in University entrance examination.
• During counselling, the seats will be first filled by the qualified GPAT candidates and then remaining seats will be filled according to the merit of University Entrance Examination.

How to apply for M.Pharma. program?

• Get the application form online from the official website and submit the duly filled form.
• Affix relevant documents along with form. Keep the filled in form safe for future reference.
• Once the candidates clear the entrance examination, they will have to attend the UKSEE Counselling.

MCA program is offered to the students by the University which is of the duration of three years.

UTU MCA Eligibility Criteria

• Aspirants who have done their BCA, BBA or B.Tech can apply for the MCA course.
• Students who have finished their graduation in science can also apply. These students must have studied Mathematics as a subject in class 10+2.

UTU MCA Selection Criteria

• Students who would like to join the MCA course must have passed in graduation with more than 60 percent marks. They need to write an entrance exam as to get admission into the MCA course.
• Admission to MCA is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE).
