For admission to all the undergraduate programs, the most basic eligibility criteria is to complete a 10+2 level board examination in the relevant specialisation from a recognised board.

• The admission to most of the undergraduate courses is provided on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in their 10+2 level board examinations.
• For admission in B.H.M. course, the candidate can get admission either on merit basis or entrance exam basis.

• Kumaun University offers admissions on the basis of aggregate merit scores achieved by the students in the bachelor’s degree examinations.
• For M.B.A. programme, the university gives admissions either on merit basis or on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the university.

Kumaun University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have completed the master’s degree examination from a recognised university and with at least 55% marks in the aggregate.

Kumaun University Ph.D. Selection Process

• The selection to the Ph.D. course is done on the basis of the Research Degree Entrance exam conducted by the university. 
• After qualifying the entrance examination, the candidate has to qualify the interview round for the final selection to the Ph.D. course.
