• To be eligible for the PhD courses candidates must have passed their post graduation or equivalent with the required percentage from a recognized board.
• Candidates are given admissions to the course based on their academic merit in their undergraduate and postgraduate.
• Candidates must attend an admissions test and personal interview. Candidates with a valid entrance exam score card are exempted from the admissions test. The accepted entrance exams are NET/ SLET/ GATE.

The first year of the PhD course includes course work where scholars learn about the research methods they would need to use. The second-year consists of the Research proposal preparation and the third year onwards scholars must work on the thesis, pre-submission requirements and the final submission.

The first-year coursework includes:

• As part of the course requirement, every student must have published at least two research papers in peer-reviewed journals in their area of doctoral research in a refereed journal before submission of the thesis and produce evidence of the same.
