HNBGU MA Eligibility

The eligibility criteria in the Schools of Arts, Communications, and Languages; Humanities and Social Sciences require 40% marks in the qualifying examination (bachelor’s degree).

Some courses, however, have specific criteria, which are listed below.

  • For MA Music, BA with Music/ Sangeet Prabhakar or Visharad with 55% marks.
  • For MA Anthropology, BA with 40% marks.
  • For MA Home Science, graduation with home science as a subject with 40% marks.
  • For MA Mathematics, a graduate degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

 HNBGU MA Admission Guidelines

  • Interested candidates have to apply online through the following website - https://online.hnbgu.ac.in/.
  • After registering, students must fill in all the required fields.
  • The application fee has to be paid via SBI challan.
  • After submission of the application, candidates will have to download the admit card, whenever they are released.

 HNBGU MA Scholarships

The institute has many scholarships in place for its economically weaker and meritorious students.

  • Shri Kalyaneshwar Temple Scholarship: For meritorious poor students of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Smt. Shanti Devi Shaligram Bhatt Scholarship: Two of these Scholarships are granted to students of UG or PG courses and one fellowship to the student of Mass Communication. They should have secured at least 60% and 50% marks respectively in the previous examination. (The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed INR 60,000 per annum.
  • Shyam Charan Scholarship: Awarded to the two meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
  • Aditya Ram Barthwal Scholarship: INR 300 per month is granted to poor meritorious students of the first-year of post-graduation.
  • Kalpeshwari Devi Scholarship: Granted to the students securing the highest marks in Hindi in B.A. or M.A. (previous) examination.

Ans. Yes. Students of HNBGU are required to put in at least 75% attendance in all classes including lectures, tutorials, and practical in respect of each subject separately. Failing to do so will result in the student not being allowed to sit for the university examination of said subject.
