- MA offered at Lucknow University is a two-year four-semester program. Some of the MA specializations are self-financed courses as well.
- Some of the specializations are MA in Western History, Statistics, Women's Studies, Sociology, Public Administration, English, Hindi, French, Education, Economics, Psychology, etc.

Lucknow University MA Eligibility Criteria
M.A in French
- 45% marks if the subject is studied in all three years of graduation.
- 55% marks if the subject is studied in the first two years of graduation.
- 60% marks if the subject is not studied during graduation.
- 50% marks if studied a 3 years Advance Diploma in French along with an undergraduate program.
M.A in Women’s Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, Jyotir Vigyan, Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration, Human Consciousness and Yogic Science, Population Studies, Forensic Science, and Arab Culture
- 50% marks in any graduate programme from a recognized university.
M.A courses other than the above mentioned:
- 45% marks if the subject is studied in all three years of graduation.
- 55% marks if the subject is studied in the first two years of graduation.
- 60% marks if the subject is not studied during graduation.
Note: SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates are given 5% relaxation.
Lucknow University MA Admission Guidelines
Lucknow University conducts an entrance test for admission in M.A course. The candidates are selected for the course based on marks scored in the entrance test.
Based on the score obtained in the entrance exam, the candidate will be asked to visit the university for counselling and to complete the admission procedure.

The entire Master in Arts course is divided into four semesters. The students have to maintain a compulsory 75% attendance to appear in the examination. The first and the third semesters focus on theoretical concepts whereas the second and the fourth semesters focus on the practical aspect of the course.
