There is a fee according to family financial income. For below 1 lakh your tuition fee of 62000 will be discounted and for between 1 to 5 lakh 2/3rd of the tution fee is reduced but both have to pay hostel and mess fee full like above 5 lakh. There are many scholarships for NIT students but mainly for those whose income is less than 5 lakh and 1 lakh. for above 5 lakh it is much more expensive to afford, let's assume one has a family income of 6 lakh and he has to pay 2.5 lakh to college for his child.
