CSJM B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to seek admission for the B.Sc program of CSJM shall have passed the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

  • Basic eligibility for admissions to B.Sc course is that the candidates must have passed intermediate examinations of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or from any other recognized institute or board.
  • Candidates must also appear for the entrance test which will be conducted by the university itself.
  • Moreover, eligibility criteria for some specific B.Sc specializations set by the institute is tabulated below:

B.Sc in Biotechnology A minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 examination in Maths/ Biology Group 
B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basics) Shall have passed the qualifying examination and the prescribed course of study for a minimum duration of 2 years
B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science stream with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology
B.Sc in Medical Microbiology 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50% in Chemistry, Zoology, Botany
B.Sc in Human Nutrition 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Science (Biology or Maths) or with Home Science conducted by any Board or University with minimum of 45% marks
B.Sc in Hospital Administration 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline (Arts/ Science/ Commerce) with minimum 45% marks
B.Sc in Radiological & Imaging 10+2 or its equivalent examination in Science (Biology) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Biology
B.Sc in Optometry
B.Sc in Aviation 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Students holding Indian Private Pilots License (PPL) with 60 hours of flying of which 30 hours would be solo hours will be given direct entry. Indian students with no previous flying experience may be sponsored selected as a special case by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udaan Academy
B.Sc Yoga Intermediate (any discipline) or 10+2 or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks
B.Sc in Statistics Intermediate or 10+2 with Mathematics as the compulsory subject
  • About 5% of relaxation in the qualifying examination will be given to SC/ST candidates.

CSJM B.Sc Admission Guidelines

The selection criteria for Admission to the B.Sc. programs of the university are both merit and entrance based.

  • Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for B.Sc courses at CSJMU:
  1. Candidates are required to generate their Web Registration Number, otherwise, their application form will not be accepted.
  2. Candidates are required to fill the application form available on the official website of CSJMU.
  3. Fill in all the details thoroughly and select the B.Sc course you wish to apply in.
  4. Candidates shall submit their application form and upload the mandatory documents.
  5. Proceed to pay the application fee.
  6. Submit your application form and take a print out of the same for future reference. 
  • Final selection to the course will be based on the marks obtained in High School and Intermediate examinations and entrance exam conducted by the university itself. 
  • A merit list will be displayed on the notice board of the college and the official website of university.
  • The selected candidates will be called for counselling which will be notified by the University.
  • Candidates shall pay the counselling fees and get their documents verified.
  • The seats will be allotted to the students based on counselling.

Course Duration: In general, B.Sc course is offered for a minimum duration of 3 years by CSJMU. However, course duration varies for some specific specializations. Also, the maximum duration of the course is double the minimum duration offered by the university: Below are the details:

  • B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basic): 2 years
  • B.Sc in MLT: 3 years + 6 months internship
  • B.Sc in HA: 3 years + 6 months internship
  • B.Sc in Radiological & Imaging: 3 years + 6 months internship
  • B.Sc in Optometry: 3 years + 6 months internship
  • B.Sc in Yoga: 3 years + 6 months internship

Course Structure: The course structure is as follows:

  1. Candidates shall have to select and pass three foundation courses one in each year of study. 
  2. Candidates shall be required to pass separately in the practical examination.
  3. A candidate who has passed the B.Sc examination of the University may be allowed to present himself/ herself for examination in any one extra subject as prescribed for B.Sc examination not taken by him/her at the degree examination.
  4. Candidates are also required to pass in practicals.
  5. A minimum attendance of 70% is required for continuation of the course.

Ques. Does CSJM provide relaxation to sportsperson in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Sc. program?

Ans. Yes. About 2% of relaxation is given to Sportsmen who have represented their institution in games and sports at the National/State level on presentation of relevant certificate, in respect of eligibility percentage.

Ans. Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) offers a full-time Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology for the duration of 3 years while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic) is for the duration of 2years.
