Tripura University Admission 2024: UG, PG, PhD, Courses, Eligibility, Application Form, Last Date

Tripura University offers various UG courses for the duration of 3 years. The integrated courses at Tripura University are for the duration of 5 years. The basic eligibility criteria required at TU is a Class 12 Board exam qualified with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board. Candidates with the following eligibility criteria can apply for their desired stream at Tripura University.

Tripura University UG Selection Criteria

Candidates will be provided admission based on the marks they will secure in Common University Entrance Exam (CUET)

• Admissions will also be based on the separate criteria of the Tripura University
• Admission to some of the Integrated courses in disciplines like Hindi, Bengali, Rural studies, History, etc. will be based on the merit secured in the General Test
• UG courses like B.Voc (Film & Video Production) and BBA will also be based on General tests for admissions
• The reserved category candidates will be provided admissions as per the norms of the Government of India.

Tripura University UG Application Process

Candidates willing to seek admission to Tripura University will have to appear for the CUET (UG). Candidates will have to register for the CUET by going to the official website of NTA. Candidates can only register for CUET in online mode. The step-by-step process to fill up the application form for CUET is provided below:

• Visit the official website of NTA- https://nta.ac.in/
• Valid E-Mail ID and Mobile number are to be provided to receive SMS by NTA
• The personal details and academic details of the Candidate are needed to be entered
• Scanned copies of the Passport sized photograph & signature of the candidate are to be uploaded
• The application fees are to be paid through online mode (credit/debit/net banking/UPI)
• A printout of the application form and fees receipt must be taken out for future use

M.Sc. Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed B.Sc. with the respective subject.
• Candidates appearing or appearing in the final semester examination of B.Sc. program can also apply.

Selection Criteria

Selections in M.Sc. programs are based on the marks obtained in the CUET PG exam

M.Tech. Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidate should have passed BE/ B.Tech. in the required subject from any AICTE or University approved Institution.
• Candidates who have passed MSC in computer science or passed MCA from a recognized University can apply for M.Tech. in Computer science and technology. 
• Candidates who have passed M.Sc. in computer Science or information technology or electronics OR have passed MCA from a recognized University can also apply for M.Tech. in information technology 
• Candidates who have passed MSc in physics, chemistry, Nanotechnology, material science can also apply for M.Tech.. in Material science and engineering 

Selection Criteria

Selection in M.Tech. programs are based on CUET PG exam scores

M.Com. Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed B.Com. (Hons/ Pass) from a recognized institution 
• Candidates appearing or appeared final semester examination in B.Com. can also apply

Selection Criteria

Selections for M.Com. will be based on the CUET PG scores.

MA Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed B.A in the respective subjects from a recognized institution 
• Candidates appearing/ appeared the final semester examination in BA with respective subjects can also apply.
• Candidates with bachelor's degree in any discipline can apply for MA in linguistics and Tribal languages and for MA in journalism and mass communication 
• Candidates with PG diploma in Kokborok can also apply for MA in Kokborok.

Selection Criteria

Selections in MA programs will be strictly based on the Marks obtained in CUET PG.

MCA Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed Bachelor's degree in Computer application/ Computer Science/ information technology 
• Candidates who have passed B.Com./ B.sc in any stream from an AICTE recognized University can also apply.
• Candidates appearing/ appeared in final semester examination in any of the above streams can also apply.
• Candidates must have mathematics as one of the subjects in Higher secondary stage (10+2).

Selection Criteria

• Selections in MCA at Tripura University are based on the CUET PG exam scores.

MBA Course details are given below. 

Eligibility

• Candidate should have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA 
• Candidates appearing or appearing in the final semester examination of Bachelor's degree of any discipline can apply.

Selection Criteria

• Candidates having a valid score in MAT/ XAT / CAT/ CMAT will get direct admission in MBA at Tripura University. 
• Universities may also release a merit list based on marks obtained in graduation.

Tripura University also offers courses such as LLM, M.Pharm, B.Lib.I.Sc and M.Lib.I.Sc, M.Ed and B.Ed. They also have integrated ug and pg programs of 5 years.
