About Chennai Mathematical Institute
Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) is a premier educational institution located in the famous SPIC IT Park. Being based in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, it is a popular place for studying mathematical sciences for students from all over the country. Established in the year 1989, the institute is recognized both within the country and abroad. CMI provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs under various branches. Admissions to the institute are done on the basis of the entrance exam.
CMI has a formal agreement with the Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) in Paris for regular exchanges of visits by the students and the faculty. Each year, top-ranking B.Sc students from the Institute spend the summer at ENS and works on research problems.
