- Selection to UG and PG programs is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
- Selection to 75% seats in B.Tech is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and to the remaining 25% seats, admission is done on the basis of JEE Main score.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University offers B.Tech in various specializations. Minimum eligibility for B.Tech is 10+2 in Non-Medical stream with minimum 50% marks. The university offers M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The university also offers Integrated M.Tech in two specializations.

Documents to be attached with application form:
- Self-attested xerox copy of Class X or Matriculation Certificate for date of birth

- Four recent colour pass port size photographs
- In case there is a gap of one year, candidate must submit an affidavit stating that he/she was not involved in questionable activity during the said period.

- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship: The University awards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Scholarships to 10% needy and meritorious students who might not be financially equipped to pursue higher education.
- Minority Community Scholarships: It is a scholarship which is a centrally sponsored scheme for meritorious students who belong to minority students (Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddhists and Parsis).
- Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students: It is centrally sponsored scheme under which students with Punjab Domicile belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
- Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for other Backward Class Students: It is centrally sponsored scheme under which students with Punjab Domicile belonging to backward/ other backward classes.
- UGC Special Scholarship for J&K students: Under supernumerary quota scheme, two students from J&K get admission are eligible to receive INR 2.5 Lac. Scholarship by UGC.
