Utkal University Bhubaneswar M.Phil Psychology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The candidates can apply online by registering himself/herself to the university website. Candidate must log in to the website with the user ID and password generated at the time of registration and must follow the following steps:

• Fill in all the important details correctly.
• Submit the application fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand) to apply for M.Phil. course and Rs.1500/- to apply for Ph.D. course through credit / debit card / internet banking of any bank accompanied by the generation of e-receipt

Note: The reference number of the e-receipt will be required to input while filling up online application form.  

• After submission of application form, the candidate can download the Admit Card.
• Candidate must keep a copy of the Admit Card /application form for future reference.
• Candidate must send/submit hard copy of filled in application form along with recent passport size photographs and relevant documents to the Head of the Department before last date either in person/by post
• The candidate must submit the photo affixed and duly signed application and the following copies of following documents.
  1. Mark sheets and Certificates of all examinations.
  2. C.L.C. and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.
  3. SC/ST Certificate from the competent authority (MP / MLA / Collector / ADM / SDO / Local Gazetted Revenue Officer not below the rank of Deputy Collector or Tahasildar) by candidates of those categories.
  4. PH certificate physically challenged students and ID card issued by District Welfare Officer / Community Development Officer / Social Welfare Department of State Government) by the physically challenged candidates.
  5. Sports and Games Certificate of participation are required for quota and special weightage consideration, from the competent Authority (Director of Sports / Sports Council of the Utkal University) countersigned by the Principal / HOD of the college / department by the candidates interested to apply under the said category.
  6. Certificate shall be produced from the Rajya / Zilla Sainik Board by the applicants interested to apply under Ex/In-service quota.
  7. Original application fee e-receipt.
  8. Three passport size photographs (one to be fixed in the application form and two more copies to be attached with the form).

Migration Certificate, if the candidate is not from Utkal University.

• Written test will be a qualifying test. The qualifying marks of the written test will be decided by the respective Teachers’ Council, not less than 35% of total marks in the written test except SC/ST candidates where it not less than 30% of total marks in the written test..
• The candidates, qualified in the National level tests like UGC-NET, GATE, SLET, ICPR, ICSSR, ICHR, etc. are exempted from the written test.
• Admission to M.Phil programme will be made on the basis of career marks and vivavoce. The said viva voce shall be conducted by the concerned SRC.
• The merit list will be prepared on the basis of mark secured in viva-voce and career.

Aspirants seeking admission to 1 year Full-time M.Phil. should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement

Candidate must have a master’s degree in relevant stream with minimum 55% aggregate from a recognised College/University.
