Admission to M.Tech programme for different specializations is made on the basis of Centralised Admission Process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. To register for CAP, candidates are required to fill an application form available on DTE website and appear in an online counselling process. There is no entrance test conducted by the authority for selection of candidates, only GATE score is the basis for selection.
A merit list will be released by DTE to consider admission for M.Tech programme. Candidates are required to fill the college and course according to their choice and once the third counselling process is over a final merit list will be released on the basis of which admission to M.Tech programme will be made. For filling the application form, candidates are required to register themselves on the website with the help of a valid email ID and phone number. This phone number and email ID will be used for getting notifications related to further admission procedure. Once the candidates register themselves, they will get a user name and password which will be used to login on the website. Eligibility: Candidates are required to have been passed B.Tech or any other bachelor programme in relevant specialisation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) to be eligible for the M.Tech programme.
NOTE:
Only Indian nationals satisfying the above mentioned criteria are eligible for the programme. Those candidates who have a valid GATE score card are eligible for CAP.
RTMNU M.Tech Admission Process
- Selection for M.Tech programme is done on the basis of CAP (Centralised Admission Process) status. There is no entrance test conducted for selection, authority will release a merit list on the basis of GATE score. Those applicants who satisfy the criteria mentioned in the merit list are eligible to apply for the further selection process.
- Those candidates who find their names in the merit list are required to appear for the counselling process. Counselling is done online and candidates are required to login to the website by their username and password. There they need to select the course and college where they want to study.
- Once the counselling process is over, a final list is released mentioning the details of college and course provided to candidates. Candidates are required to visit the college and confirm their admission by submitting the required documents and confirmation letter.
Documents to be produce at the time of admission:
- 10th standard marks sheet
- 10th standard passing certificate
- Marks sheet of B.Tech
- B.Tech degree certificate
- Transfer certificate
- GATE score card
- Two passport size photographs
NOTE: Candidates are required to take 2 Xerox of the above mentioned documents.
User facts:
- 80% of seats for M.Tech programme are to be filled through CAP and 20% through University level.
- University also considers GATE score for filing the 20% share of seats for M.Tech programme.
RTMNU M.Tech Application Process
- Candidates are required to visit official website of DTE Maharashtara and have to select the M.Tech option to apply for the programme. There candidates are required to fill the required details and upload their photograph and signature. Candidates will be provided with a unique username and password which is to be kept with them for future use. Candidates are required to enter a valid email id, mobile number and password. These three things are to be kept in record by the candidate for future use.
- The cost for application fee is INR 700 for open category candidates and INR 500 for reserved category candidates, which is to be paid online through Credit card/Debit card/Net banking.
User facts:
- Candidates are advised to keep the print out of payment slip and application form along with them which is to be used in document verification.
- The photograph and signature of candidates are to be of 50kb size, more than that is not acceptable.
- Photograph is to be uploaded as photo.jpeg and signature as sign.jpeg
- Photograph should be taken in white background.
- Signature should be done on white paper with black pen.
- Scan the signature in 200dpi (dots per inch)
