BU Bhopal offers BE and integrated B.Tech - M.Tech in the field of Engineering & Medical Sciences. Various specializations are offered in Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech such as Biomedical Engineering, Stem Cell Engineering and Cyber Law & Information Security. The duration of all these courses is five years.

Admission is offered by DTE followed by counselling based on the merit in PET conducted by V.P. Mandal, Madhya Pradesh.

Key Points:

• 5% of seats are reserved for each SC, ST and OBC candidates
• 5% of seats are reserved to NRI or NRI sponsored candidates.
• The upper age limit for UG & PG courses is 23 and 28 years as on July 01, 2021.

The university offers various courses at undergraduate level which includes B.A., LL.B., integrated B.A.LL.B., B.P.Ed and B.Pharm.

Admission to the B.Pharm course is given by DTE through counseling based on merit in PET conducted by V.P. Mandal, Madhya Pradesh. For all the other UG level courses, students are selected on merit-based or test conducted by the university.

At postgraduate level, BU Bhopal offers M.Tech and MBA programs in different specializations under Barkatullah University Institute of Technology. The university offers two specializations in M.Tech such as Material Science and Nanotechnology.

To secure admission in M.Tech course, the students have to qualify in GATE while for MBA, the university conducts its own entrance test.

At the time of MBA admission, preference is also given to the CAT/ MAT or any other National or State level entrance qualified candidates.

Key Points:

• M.Tech is offered in full-time as well as part-time modes.
• Those students who want to pursue M.Tech in full-time mode need to qualify in GATE.
• Sponsored candidates need to have at least two years of working experience.

The university also offers special postgraduate courses like M.F.Sc, M.P.Ed and M.Pharm for the duration of two years. B.F.Sc and B.P.Ed qualified candidates are eligible to apply for M.F.Sc and M.P.Ed courses respectively while B.Pharm degree is mandatory for M.Pharm course with 50% marks in aggregate.

M.F.Sc and M.Pharm admission is purely merit-based while to secure a seat in M.P.Ed program, the students have to qualify in the BU Bhopal entrance test.

Barkatullah University offers Master of Science (MS), MA, M.Com, LL.M and M.Sc in various specializations. BU Bhopal conducts a separate entrance test for MS in Cyber Law & Information Security and LL.M course.

For MA and M.Sc programs, the university releases separate merit lists with respect to the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.

Key Point: Fellowship of INR 3000 per month will be offered to two meritorious students of Life Science department under DBT-Builder Program.

BU Bhopal also offers Diploma & PG Diploma programs in various disciplines. Minimum eligibility criteria for Diploma is a pass in graduation while for PG Diploma, a relevant PG degree is required. Admission is offered on the basis of merit.

BU Bhopal offers admission to M.Phil & Ph.D. programs in various specializations. The minimum eligibility is a pass in the relevant PG degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The admission is granted on the basis of Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by a performance in interview and Work Experience.

Institute of Open & Distance Education (IODE) of Barkatullah University runs many programs at Graduation and Post-Graduation level. Admission to all these courses is based on the merit in the previous qualifying examination.
