JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Admission 2023 (Open): Dates, Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

For MBBS and BDS course, candidates applying should have done HSC with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and minimum 50% marks. Also candidates who have passed B.Sc examination with not less than two of the subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology (botany, zoology) are eligible for MBBS and BDS. Minimum eligibility for admission in B.Sc, B.Sc (Life Sciences), B.Pharm courses is to passed HSC with PCB as subjects.

Selection to these courses is given on merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. Selection to B.Pharm course is done on the basis of entrance test conducted by the institute. For MBBS and BDS courses, candidates are selected on the basis of NEET UG score card.

Key Points for Admission:

• For admission in all the courses candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 of the admission year.
• For SC/ST candidates 5% relaxation is provided in eligibility criteria.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysore offers MD degree in 17 disciplines, MS degree in 11 disciplines and MDS degree in nine disciplines. Eligibility for admission to MD and MS is MBBS degree from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India, or from a recognized medical college affiliated to any other institute recognized as equivalent to MCI.

Additionally, candidates must have completed one year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching institution, and has obtained permanent registration of any State Medical Council.

Eligibility for MDS is that candidate should have passed BDS from a recognized institution. Selection to MD, MS courses are done on the basis of NEET PG.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysore offers postgraduate courses in various fields like Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Philosophy and Health Administration.

For admission to M.Sc. courses, candidate must have passed B.Sc. with at least one subject of biological Sciences or BAMS or MBBS or BHMS or BPT or B.Pharm or any other professional graduates from a recognized institute. For admission to PG course in Pharmacy candidate should have scored a least 55 % of marks.

Eligibility for admission to MBA – Hospital Administration course, is bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration; the student must have secured not less than 50% of the maximum marks.

Note: Every student selected for admission to M. Pharm. program should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council.

The institute also offers Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy, Medical, Dentistry and Life Sciences. Eligibility for PG diploma in MD is MBBS from a recognized institution and for admission to PG diploma courses in MDS candidates should have passed BDS as a bachelor’s degree.

For admission to D.Pharm course candidate should have passed HSC with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. Candidate who has passed B.Pharm degree examination with at least 50% marks shall be eligible for the admission to the following PG Diploma course in Pharmacy.

Selection to PG diploma courses are done on the basis of NEET PG.

• PG diploma in MD, D.Pharm and MDS courses are of 2 years duration.
• PG diploma in Pharmacy is of 1 year duration.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysore offers Super Specialty in Medicine in various disciplines. It also offers multiple certificate courses. For admission to Super Specialty Degree courses a candidate should have passed degree of M.D. or M.S. or its equivalent in the relevant discipline from a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India. Admission to certificate courses are done on the basis of candidate’s performance in HSC or ITI.

Note: Super Specialty courses of three years duration. Certificate course of Dental Mechatronics is of 1 year duration rest certificate courses are of 6 months duration
