University of Kashmir M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech courses at the University of Kashmir have to qualify the following eligibility criteria:
Computer Science:
- Candidates must have a B.Tech degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Information Technology.
- The candidates must have qualified GATE with valid scores.
Embedded Systems and Solutions:
- Candidates must have a BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc, M.Sc. Electronics, M.Sc. Information Technology, M.Sc. Computer Sciences, MCA.
- The candidate must have qualify GATE with a valid score.

University of Kashmir M.Tech Admission Criteria
Selection to M.Tech at the University of Kashmir is done based on the score obtained in GATE followed by counseling.
How to Apply?
The eligible candidates will have to fill an application form on the official website of KU once they release the registration guidelines and forms. Once the admissions starts, follow the steps given below.
- Go to the official website of the university.
- Candidates need to register and generate Login ID and password.
- Login using the generated login ID and Password.
- Enter the necessary details and Upload the recent passport size Photograph and click “Next”.
- Click “Submit” to submit the Online Application Form.
- Select the desired Course and deposit the non-refundable Application Fee of INR 750 for one Program and INR 250 for each subsequent Program using a single application form.
University of Kashmir Program M.Tech Details - Curriculum and Syllabus
Kashmir University M.Tech is of 2-years duration which is further divided into 4 semesters. The program is offered in Computer Science and Embedded Systems & Solutions.
- The first 3 semesters of the program consist of academic coursework.
- In 4th semester students have to take up an industry internship or pursue academic research in the Department leading to M.Tech. thesis (no grouping is permitted).
- The program also includes a unique 4-week period at the beginning of the program called a “Preparatory Term”.
- The second semester includes 8 weeks called the “Winter Term” which is intended to build the foundation of research aptitude and presentation skills in the students.
- The second and third semesters include advanced topics in embedded system design that include embedded programming languages, system design with ARM Cortex microcontrollers, VLSI architecture and design methodologies, digital signal processor and architecture and internet of things.
- The final semester is designated for industry Internship or a research Thesis”.
