University of Kashmir B.Tech Key Highlights

  • The entire course is divided across eight semesters.

University of Kashmir B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech courses at the University of Kashmir have to qualify the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have passed Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2) examination from J&K Board of School Education or from any recognized Board or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) subjects with at least 50% marks in case of Open Category and 45% marks for Reserved Categories.
  • Candidates must have appeared for the JEE Main entrance examination.

Admission to B.Tech at the University of Kashmir is solely entrance-based. The university considers the score of JEE Main. Based on their rank in the entrance examination, candidates are shortlisted for counseling. The final selection will be made through counseling.

  • Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for JEE Mains entrance test:
    • Visit the JEE Mains official website.
    • Fill the registration form with the personal details asked and submit it.
    • Login credentials will be generated which will be required to fill the application form.
    • Complete the necessary details in the application form and submit it.
    • Upload your recent passport size photograph and scanned signatures.
    • Proceed to pay the registration fee via Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ PAYTM/ UPI.
    • After the declaration of the result, visit the official website of Kashmir University and fill the application form for B.Tech with all the details.
  • The university will release a merit list of candidates eligible for the B.Tech program at the university. Candidates will be required to stay in contact with the university as no candidate will be informed separately about the same.
  • Preference is given to candidates with valid entrance scores.
  • The total seat intake is 50+15 (self-financed seats).
