NLU, Delhi is also known as State-level Law University, is established with the objective of promoting ethical values with a view to promoting the rule of law and the objectives laid down in the Constitution of India. The University offers various courses like an integrated B.A. LL.B. program, LL.M., LL.M. (Professional), PG Diploma as well as certificate and diploma programs. NLU Delhi also offers a Ph.D. program in multiple specializations.
Admission to UG and PG courses is based on the scores obtained in AILET. The University prepares the cut-off for admission through AILET. Admission to the Ph.D. program will be made based on merit in the written test conducted by the University and qualifying exam. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ JRF/ SLET and M.Phil. are exempted from sitting in a written test.

NLU Delhi B.A.LL.B. (H) Admission 2023
National Law University Delhi offers B.A.LLB. (H) at the undergraduate level with a duration of 5 years. The basic eligibility for getting admission into B.A.LL.B. (H) is 10+2 and candidates are selected based on merit in an entrance examination.
NLU Delhi B.A.LL.B. (H) Eligibility Criteria:
- Admission into the BA.LL.B. (H) at National Law University, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50%
- Admission into the B.A.LL.B. (H) at National Law University under the Foreign National Category, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 65%

- Admission into the LL.M. at National Law University, candidates must have passed LL.B. or equivalent with at least 55% (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD)
- Admission into the LL.M. at National Law University under the Foreign National Category, candidates must have passed LL.B. or equivalent with 65%
- Candidates awaiting the result of the qualifying examination may appear for the entrance test

NLU Delhi offers Ph.D. at the research level with a duration of 3-5 years. The basic eligibility for getting admission into Ph.D. is Post Graduation and candidates are selected based on merit in an entrance examination.
NLU Delhi Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks or equivalent
- Candidates must have a Master’s with M.Phil in Social Sciences or Humanities at least 55% marks or equivalent
- Candidates holding a position as a Judge of any State High Court in India with 3 years experience or Judge of Supreme Court of India are also eligible for admission to the Ph.D.
NLU Delhi Ph.D. Selection Criteria:
- Admission to Ph.D. at National Law University is done based on a Written Test conducted by the university
- Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ JRF/ SLET or have a valid score in M.Phil in Law are exempted from the Written Test. They have to submit their Research Proposal & the selected proposal will be needed to give a presentation on the proposed topic before the Doctoral Committee
