JNU offers scholarships based on family income and category, with full tuition waivers for families earning below 1 lakh INR annually, requiring only a semester registration fee of 5,600 INR. Families earning between 1 to 5 lakh INR per annum pay 27,000 INR per semester, including registration fees. Hostel accommodation is free, with mess bills ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 INR monthly. The BTech program costs 62,500 INR per semester, totaling around 6 lakh INR for the degree. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students receive full tuition concessions. Additional scholarships for students from states like Bihar and Maharashtra offer financial aid from 1 lakh INR per year to full tuition coverage, based on academic performance.
