JMI MSc Admission Process
Candidates are selected based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam conducted by JMI. Admission to MSc disaster management and climate sustainability studies will be based on CUET PG or GAT-B scores.

The M.Sc program is offered as per the Choice Based Credit System(CBCS). Papers are classified into Core, Elective and ability enhancement. Practicals are taken up by the students every semester according to the course outline. In all semesters, core papers have 3 credit scores, consisting of the University exams and internal assessment. During the first semester, practicals carry one credit and in the last two semesters, it weighs 4 credits. The project work was essentially carried out in the last semester.
Along with it, students need to maintain their 75% attendance both in practicals as well as lectures to be elected into the terminal examination. Internal Assessment is carried out based on the class tests, presentations and other modes of assessing the students.
JMI M.Sc Placements
JMI has a Placement Cell working to provide job and internship opportunities to the students. Under the M.Sc program, placement is available only for a few specialisations. The branches available for on-campus placements under the M.Sc program are in the fields of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Geography. The average package offered to the M.Sc graduates is INR 3-4 LPA. The job offers for M.Sc graduates were only 4 in number.
