Being a nit i get the oppurtunity to study with the best mind of our countruy
The NIT Raipur is a one of the best engineering colleges in India.
You get to meet some of the best minds from all over the country.
Dislike
I would say the course curriculum was a little outdated when I joined, but it has changed now.
The 1 to 2 internships for the Lower branch are open only to girls, not boys.
If you are looking for an institute that provides placement after 2 years, then this college is not for you.
Fees are very high in this college. One years fee is 144,000. We have scholarship opportunities that provide financial assistance, and companies are coming to the college to recruit students. However, the percentage of placement was very poor this year.
The college is known for being bad in extracurricular activities, despite having all types of extracurricular facilities available.
The mess food is the worst of all. The chapatis are very thick and made of maida (not aata).
The college administration is quite poor. We receive our library cards at the end of the semester, and until then, we cannot borrow books from the library. They lack cooperation, and being a typical government administration, they work slowly.

I am 1st year student so I have less experience with placements but from nitrr official link placement is good many companies can visit college highest package in 2023 is 57 lpa and avg is 10lpa percentage of students getting placed is 70 to 80%
From the third semester students become eligible for placements and will get campus internships if they have skills there are multiple companies like Capgemini, Reliance, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant, and Wipro which will give an average package of 10.01 lpa.
Placements are pretty good, highest 55, average 13.67. All big companies like Microsoft, De Shaw, JP Morgan and visit campus for recruitment and provide many offers to students.
We have an 80% placement rate.
My plan is to first grab a job and then decide what to do.
From the 5th sem onwards students are eligible for internship and students must do internship. And from the 7th sem, they are eligible for campus placement. According to statistics, the placement is pretty good with a good amount of students getting placed in good companies with 10 lacs of average placement.
I am an ECE student. Like any other aspirant, my goal was also to get CSE in any good NIT or IIT but I didn't get one considering my rank after CSE I found ECE to be the most considerable branch as my brother was also from this branch he suggested to me to opt for it and I did and I don't regret it.
The student ratio at NIT Raipur is good in labs there would always be someone to help you out in case you are stuck in your experiments. The professors in class also clear your doubts effectively and if you want to make a project for the national science exhibition or can be your project the faculties are quite helpful. All the faculties are highly qualified professionals from different IITs some have also completed their education from abroad.
For the exams, we were the first batch after COVID soo everything was shifting from online to offline soo we were at a loss as we were already 3 months late for admission and our course also started late, but the exams are quite on the easier side.
The course is perfect. Everything here is very well maintained and managed the timetable is very liniment and the faculties are very supportive and very humble and always ready to help and also very good.
I chose this course to study electrical engineering in which I am interested. Faculty are qualified from top IITs and their way of teaching is also very good. Exams are of good level and the question is also not repeated.
I chose this course because I saw more scope in civil as the number of vacancies increased in government jobs so I chose this. The Faculties were sufficient as compared to the students. All faculties were highly qualified and the teaching method was also good. Term exams were held timely as given in the schedule before starting.
The placement scenario in our college is pretty good. The college will expose you to a good grade company with a great range of package offers. For on-campus placement interviews, your academics CPI should be good without any backlog in previous semesters.
4th year students can sit for placements and 3rd year are allowed to sit for on-campus internships. a lot of big names, DE Shaw, MathsWork, oracle, Optum, Deloitte, etc
90% of students are placed on campus
