Students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, minorities, Kapus, economically backward classes and differently-abled groups whose yearly family income is less than INR 2.5 lakh will have their fees refunded under the Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme. |

Given below is some detailed information on ANGRAU Centrally-Sponsored Scholarship Scheme.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi provides a Senior Research Fellowship of INR 31,000/- month for the First and Second years and INR 35,000 per month for the third year and INR 10,000 per annum as a contingency to Students who are selected through AIEEA (PG) to pursue their Ph.D programme.
Students who are chosen through AIEEA (PG) to pursue their M.Sc. program are awarded a Junior Research Fellowship by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, which pays INR 12,640 per month and INR 6000 per year as a contingency.
Merit based support through National Talent Scholarship to the Under-graduates (@ INR 3000 per month) and Post graduate students (@ INR 5000 per month) seeking admission in Agricultural Universities in a State other than the State of their domicile, through ICAR All India Entrance Examination (AIEE).
To attract meritorious undergraduate students to prosecute their study in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science up to graduation level, ICAR sanctioned a scheme under which scholarships in these subjects are awarded annually based on merit-cum-means @ INR 1000 per month.
The purpose of the Student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship Awareness Development Yojana) program is to raise undergraduate students' awareness of practical agriculture and related sciences while also giving them hands-on experience in real-world rural agricultural situations. The program will assist in developing the participants' self-assurance, skill, and local Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK), so preparing them for self-employment. It also seeks to offer chances for gaining practical experience and entrepreneurial abilities. The ICAR, New Delhi will support students for this program at a rate of INR 3,000 per month.
University Grants Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, offers fellowships to underprivileged members of society, enabling them to pursue higher education and research opportunities. The purpose of this award is to give financial aid in the form of fellowships to SC/ST students so they can pursue higher education.
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi, has entrusted and funded the UGC to administer the National Fellowship (NF) for Other Backward Classes (OBC). Candidates from Other Backward Classes (OBC) who are pursuing higher education are eligible to apply for the program. A 3% quota of seats is set out for research researchers who are Persons with Disability (PwD) who fall under the OBC category when it comes to fellowship awards.
The objective of the scheme is to provide fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students from minority communities, as notified by the Central Government to pursue higher studies such as M.Phil. and Ph.D. at Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) scheme of the University Grants Commission (UGC) is open to candidates who qualify in the National Eligibility Test-Junior Research Fellowship(NET-JRF) of the UGC and the UGC-Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (UGC-CSIR) joint test.
Bright young men and women who want to train in research methods under the expert guidance of faculty members and scientists working in university departments, institutes of national importance, national laboratories, and institutes of CSIR in various fields of science and technology and medical sciences can apply for CSIR Research Fellowships and Associateships through the EMR Division under the HRD Group of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
