Distinctive features of this course
As a Joint Honours degree student you will study both subjects equally offering you a wide choice of options within subjects. You will be able to engage with a number of specialist topics including experiments in economics, economics of innovation, globalisation and international trade, financial economics and law and economics, differentiating truth from falsehood, the relation of the mind to the body, the existence of God and the illusion of freedom. You also have the opportunity to develop critical and analytical skills and constructing arguments under the tutelage of staff that are at the forefront of research in various fields. The background of many of the teaching staff, who as well as being experienced academics, have extensive experience working for, or advising, a number of organisations such as the Council of Economic Advisers to the First Minister, the Bank of England, the European Central Bank (ECB), HM Customs and Inland Revenue and the Calman Commission. It may be possible to spend a semester or year studying abroad as part of this degree programme.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent.
- Applicants without the formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete their bachelors degree from a recognized university.
- Students must complete their graduation with 50% from Tier 1 College/ University
(namely University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi) or graduating with 55% from a Tier 2 College/University.
